PRODUCT CARE
Would you also like to keep your items beautiful as long as possible? We are happy to advise you on how to deal with the various materials we use.
We think it is important to use good quality materials that fit the product. Many of our items are made in Italy and India, where we create beautiful products with a whole team. We often use wool, viscose and cotton in our items. This also includes the appropriate care. So please read the information below carefully after purchasing our items <3.
At all times refer to the care label in the product. The information below is only a general advice.
Algemene informatie
Washing: Generally, we recommend washing our products no hotter than 30 degrees and air drying. In addition, the products are best served by (cold) hand washing. If you bought a very brightly colored item, please also wash it separately from other garments the first time.
knitted items: If you have bought a knitted product, be careful not to get caught in anything. Did a loop end up in your beloved item after all? Then fortunately you can easily tuck it back in so that the loop is on the inside and no longer visible.
Fit size: Make sure the fit of the garment is correct. In general, our items come out a bit smaller. Please check the size guide that comes with the products, or send us an email. This way you will also ensure that the item lasts as long as possible (too small or too large = risk of damage).
Elastic items: For products in which elastic is used (like our well-known mykonos skirt) we advise not to pull hard on the elastic when putting on such an item. This may actually weaken the elastic and cause it to get out of shape.
Care & washing instructions
✰Wool gives clothes a nice look and offers nice warmth! In addition, clothes made from wool can last up to 100 years. If you are sensitive to wool (it itches easily), we recommend washing the item immediately upon receipt. Wool should always be washed in cold water. This means that items with wool should absolutely not be washed or dried at temperatures higher than 30 degrees. Also, wool is susceptible to deformation. Therefore, never put it in a wash cycle with many revolutions. Wool should also therefore always be dried flat. So do not hang an item with wool on a clothes hook. It is normal that wool may pill or fluff over time - this is a natural phenomenon. However, you can use a pill device for this. You can prevent pilling as much as possible by not washing the item often and causing little friction (with bags, for example).
✰Viscose is a natural material also called artificial silk. This is because it is a beautiful supple and soft fabric. It is airy and therefore very comfortable. Viscose is a flexible fabric. Therefore, never wash items with viscose hotter than 30 degrees and do not use high rpm. It is best to wash viscose by hand. Has the item shrunk anyway? Then you can easily get it back to its original shape by rewashing the item so that the fibers loosen again. Then you should iron the item firmly. Items made of viscose may absolutely not dry in the dryer or in the sun! The high temperatures and fast rpm can cause shrinkage and creases.
✰Cotton is a wonderfully airy fabric and is known for its resistance and longevity. It generally needs no special care. However, cotton is susceptible to discoloration. So always wash with appropriate colors and do not hang cotton products in direct sunlight. Cotton can be machine washed and can withstand higher temperatures. Are you washing your cotton item for the first time? Then it may shrink a bit. Make sure you use a low temperature and see if the item reacts well to it.
Please note that some products are not allowed in the washing machine at all, such as bikinis! So always read the washing label on the inside of the item as well.
